Harold Lloyd – Silent Movie Great – a rare signed image of him on postcard 6×4. Image shows Lloyd in the be-spectacled character he played in silent films. Through the silent era, Lloyd became part of the Chaplin-Keaton-Lloyd comic box office triumvirate. Never using doubles for exceptionally brave stunts, he belied his be-spectacled, timid appearance. Lloyd, who was awarded a Special Academy Award in 1952, also appeared in such films as The Freshman (1925) and its sequel, The Sins of Harold Diddlebock (1947). One of the most enduring images in cinema history was Lloyd hanging from the hands of a clock high above the street (dangerous, but exaggerated by camera angles) in Safety Last!
